Santa Barbara awoke to a gorgeous “chamber of commerce” day yesterday…Indian Summer fall weather is perfect for a SUP demo…
We had a busy day with a great turnout of folks from all over the planet…Germany…New York…Alaska…Maui…Idaho…Colorado…San Diego…Monterey…Orange County…Ventura…and, Bakersfield to name a few…
Beautiful Santa Barbara waterfront day…
Everyone had a great opportunity to try lots of different boards back to back…
Demo board stack…thanks to everyone who helped us carry the boards across the sand back to the demo vans…
After trying every board on the beach, this discriminating couple from Orange County, went home with our 10’3″ Mahalo and the 11’1″ One World…Australian Pine both sides…and, of course the nicest fins of any production SUP in the world…the WARDOG Designs bamboo core SUP fins…
We’ll also be shipping out a nice package to our Colorado visitors…
Mark from Huntington Beach scored a new Starboard 10’5″ Wide Point…
More happy clients with new boards hitting the road back to Los Angeles…
John and Kathy will be driving home to Canada with a pair of new SUP’s…
Our friend, Doug “the golf pro” from Ventura, only has a 25 mile drive back home…
Custom carbon versions of our SUP board line are getting very popular…orders are starting to back up at the factory…

Another great turnout for our monthly free SUP demo…it was a smooth and glassy Fogust day…;-) Although, the sun did come out before the demo ended…
Folks from San Diego…to Orange County…to Los Angeles…to Monterey…all the way out to Houston, Texas…Cabo San Lucas…and, the Czech Republic came out for the demo today…
We’re stoked to continue to be blessed by a great business in a gorgeous town…and, we absolutely love to pay it forward by letting folks paddle our boards and get SUP instruction for free at these demos…so far, over the last 6 years, we’ve taught well over 3000 people…changing people’s lives one paddleboard at a time…

We were blessed with a gorgeous Santa Barbara sunny summer Sunday for our SUP demo yesterday…perfect day to learn to standup paddle or try a bunch of different boards back to back…and, just hang out and socialize with other standup paddlers…we had folks from Michigan, Australia, Thailand, and all over California show up…
We brought 80 sign in forms and ran out way before the demo concluded at noon…
Miles of smiles…Preaw from TAP Thai in Santa Barbara…the tastiest and healthiest Thai food restaurant in town…she told me that she couldn’t swim…I told her to trust me that she wouldn’t fall off…she trusted me and she didn’t fall in…in her own words…” I am a representative from Thailand for a non swimmer paddling! i’m sure my whole village would be so proud of me! haha”
We make sure that everyone gets proper paddling technique instruction…it’s an easy sport…but, you got to have the fundamentals down…

We finally got the weather to cooperate a little bit for our monthly SUP demo…only a few peaks at the sun…but, it kept the water conditions smooth and glassy…
Thanks to all of the folks that drove down from Monterey Bay, San Simeon and Arroyo Grande on the Central Coast…and, up from Los Angeles and Ventura County…as well as out from Las Vegas, NV to test ride over 30 standup paddle boards that we had available…and, to those who drove home with new boards and paddles, a special thanks for making us your new SUP supplier…mahalo…

A lot of work goes into schlepping the boards to the beach and finning them up…not to mention the cleanup afterwords…the stoke and gratitude that people have on the beach…and, especially out on the water…makes it all worthwhile…

The day started off with an amazing sunrise…the colors were getting washed out by the time I took this shot with the P&S…but, you can kinda tell how how gorgeous it was…
Lots of valentine paddlers showed up today…super fun…a couple of highlights until I can get a gallery up…
One of our great warm fuzzies is helping others get stoked on standup paddling…here’s a family of five that all shared the water together today thanks to the Starboard Fisherman…well over 300 lbs of boyz on this puppy…;-)
