The One World is a very refined soulful, longboard style wave rider with greater glide and stability than a number of 12’6″ canoe nose SUP’s on the market…the reduced swing weight in the nose allows the One World to be more maneuverable and surf smaller than it’s size…it also reduces unnecessary surface to catch wind and chop…

The forecast called for epic weather and fun waves this week…so we loaded the pups up in the campers and headed to a sweet spot near here on the sand to spend the week…you can go to the ends of the earth looking for this kind of fun…but, sometimes it’s best just chillin’ in your own backyard with friends…;-)

We had a great turnout for our first SUP demo of the year yesterday with folks coming to Santa Barbara from Michigan, Carmel…Orange, Los Angeles, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo County…despite the cool weather with air and H20 temps in the mid-50′s, it was a gorgeous day with the stoke level running red hot for standup paddling…
Lots of families taking advantage of our free instruction of SUP fundamentals…and, super stable boards…
We even had a Rabbi stop by to give it a go…he has never done standup before…I was able to keep my promise to him that he wouldn’t get wet or lose his glasses…even, talked him into giving my 8’6″ Jammer a go…and, he stayed dry!
Somebody up there must be watching and listening because I’ve made the same promise to a nun and a Buddhist priest and kept it…;-)
God is dog spelled backwards…is it not?…makes you wonder in light of the Arizona tragedy, why people can’t learn unconditional love for each other?

We have been under a ridge of high pressure generating spectacular weather and clean surf here in California for the last several weeks…with light to moderate offshore winds…so much for the predicted El Nino…;-)

Many of our clients…even in the sunbelt, are getting hammered by freezing conditions…if it’s any consolation I saw a 31* F on the Sprinter’s outside temp gauge this morning on the road out to a North County beach break…warmed up later in the day to 81* F…NICE!!!
