Here’s a couple of shots of the 2012 Amundson Hawaii Tour/Race SUP’s…great value in a canoe nose displacement hull board…the 11’4″ and 12’6″ epoxy versions are $1299 and the 12’6″ with carbon bottom is $1699…
“TR” stands for Tour & Race, and that is exactly what the 12’6″ TR is all about. But unlike many specialized race boards, this one is comfortable and stable, which makes it the ideal platform for touring as well. Comes in Epoxy AST construction, or the lighter carbon 12’6″ TR-X. This is the same shape as the 12’6” TR, but in our exclusive CWS technology. A full carbon/Kevlar bottom and wood sandwich deck saves 4 pounds.
The TR-X offers the type of blistering speed which will draw plenty of attention (and perhaps envy) in the highly popular 12’6″ racing class. Yet, unlike many specialized race boards, the 12’6″ TR is still stable and eminently well-mannered. With its fine entry and pronounced V-shape, the nose cuts easily through chop for a smooth, fast ride. Vertical rails and a flat bottom offer clean water release and stability. Exclusive CWS technology provides stiffness, strength and extraordinarily light weight.
For even extra value, these boards come with a windsurf sail attachment option…

Just received some of the new 2011 Amundson Hawaii SUP’s…

The new Amundson 12’6″ x 29.5″ x 5.25″ TR (Tour/Race) is pretty amazing…it’s light for it’s 247 liters…and, HOLY SHMOLY…the $1299 price tag is going to be a huge winner!
Oh…almost forgot…did I say that it’s also windsurfable and has wood veneer construction in the stand area and rail wrap to minimize rail strike damage?

Specifications: 11’3”L x 29.5”W ; 160L, ~25 lbs, MSRP $1095
Detailed Info:
A highly versatile all-around shape optimized for both flat water and surf. Wide footprint provides great stability, while slightly less volume and subtle rail shaping keep the board light and nimble. All-around rocker line blends outstanding glide with great turning ability. Newly refined graphics ensure that the 11.3 will continue to be a standout for years to come.
Built in Epoxy ASA construction for lightweight and durability, the 11.3 comes equipped with full EVA deck pad, deck box with transport handle, and epoxy fin.
Amundson 11.3 Technical Features
DuraTectm
A semi-custom epoxy construction that is strong and especially ding-resistant.
Ideally suited for sport and recreational paddlers who do not want to “baby” their board, but expect it to continue looking good. DuraTectm involves thermo-laminating a very thin layer of ASA composite to the board’s bottom and rails. DuraTectm replaces the need for paint or gelcoat so the overall gains are in strength, not weight.
Full Deck
Features a factory-installed, full length EVA deck pad.
Ultra-plush, durable EVA is factory-installed so that all you have to do is go paddle. Embossed snakeskin tread sheds water and provides a comfortable platform with great traction.
Handle
Includes a convenient molded transport handle.
Molded handle tucks into deck and stays out of the way when paddling.
Deck Box
Includes inset deck box for optional sailing rig.
When the wind is up, having the option to sail adds incredibly versatility to your standup board! 9″ US deck box fits standard mast foot.

Hook one, or both, of these boards up with the new all fiberglass QuickBlade SUP paddles for $229 and you have a heck of a value package…you can also match it up with a fiberglass Werner SUP paddle for $219…or, the Jimmy Lewis SUP paddle for $199…we throw in a free big wave rated leash with safety quick disconnect…and, some other goodies…
With this much bang for the buck, there is no need to take a chance with some no-name SUP package…the decks of these boards are reinforced for adding a windsurf sail rig…the Amundson sail rig packages are available as an add-on for under $500…that’s two sports for the price of one!

Comfortable…ergonomically designed blow-molded grips…
